ABSTRACT

Teamwork is a basic competence in the training of university students in the European Higher Education Area, for an active and a meaningful student learning, taking into account the development of individual skills, and while learning is motivated with a more effective cooperative group organization. In this article we propose a structured plan for the implementation of cooperative learning in a project experience aimed at students of the First Year of the Degree in Early Childhood Education. In this article we explain the bases of an innovation project that links artistic education subjects, in such a way that interdisciplinarity is valued to connect the development of musical and plastic expressions, through the elaboration of musical eco-stories by teams. In the planning, the project adaptations for distance learning are also exposed for the last phase of the project, during the confinement due to Covid-19. In this project we propose to identify the skills and practices of the students that must be emphasized in order to develop teamwork effectively. We consider studying the experience of students in their teams. For this we propose an evaluation plan that would allow the monitoring of the students practices and behavior in team to later base their perceptions, based on their experience in cooperative learning. Thus, we carry out a quantitative-qualitative, descriptive-interpretive research, in which we use student self-evaluation questionnaires to collect data in different phases of the implementation of the methodology. Through environmental-themed children's productions we collaborate in raising awareness of environmental problems, connecting different educational communities. In times of health crisis, we have made this creative proposal, in such a way that we involve centers and families using the virtual medium, valuing art in education.
